Introducing the Oxfordshire Plan 2050

REG 18 cover

In 2018, the Oxfordshire authorities signed the Oxfordshire Housing and Growth Deal with the government, securing guaranteed funding for affordable housing, infrastructure and economic growth in Oxfordshire.

As part of this deal, the Oxfordshire authorities have agreed to produce a plan for the whole of the county, which will guide development in the area up to the year 2050.

This consultation represents the start a process of plan making, which will involve a wide consultation with communities and other key stakeholders over the next couple of years.

This first stage, introducing the Oxfordshire Plan 2050, commences on 11 February 2019 and will run for a 6 week period until 25 March 2019.

We would like to hear your views on the vision and aspirations set out in the document and whether we have identified the right issues in setting the context for the plan.

The vision and objectives will have a bearing on how the plan develops in the future and our discussions about spatial scenarios will effect the scale and pattern of development in Oxfordshire up to 2050.

Information is set out in the documentation listed below. You can find;

  • a complete pdf version of the 'Introducing the Oxfordshire Plan', including a draft vision and series of objectives, as well as discussion points to help guide the conversation.
  • a questionnaire that you may answer if you have thoughts on any of the discussion points
  • a structured document that you may input comments directly into, if you have comments on any part of the consultation document
  • a series of topic papers which provide additional information on a range of themes including the environment, heritage and health and well being.

This consultation has now closed.
